<strong>Job Description</strong><p>We are seeking an experienced <span>z/OS System Engineer</span> to join a large enterprise project. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in IBM z/OS environments, system software installation, migrations, and mainframe administration.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Install and maintain IBM and ISV products using <span>SMP/E</span> (RECEIVE, APPLY, ACCEPT) and non-SMP/E methods.</li><li>Perform PTF/APAR management, CSI management, and zone maintenance across development and production LPARs.</li><li>Manage and update critical system control datasets including <span>LNKLST (LINKLIST), APF-authorized libraries, IEASYSxx, and IEAPARMxx</span>.</li><li>Execute z/OS release-to-release migrations using <span>CBPDO/ServerPac workflows</span> or <span>zOSMF Software Management</span>.</li><li>Perform pre/post-migration validation, coexistence PTF implementation, and fallback planning.</li><li>Utilize <span>IBM zOSMF</span> for software deployment, software instance management, workflows, and system health checks.</li><li>Implement system-level changes while following enterprise change management procedures.</li><li>Conduct impact analysis, regression testing, and maintain system integrity across multi-LPAR sysplex environments.</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>Requirements</strong><p><br></p><p><strong>Required Skills</strong></p><ul><li>Strong experience with IBM z/OS administration.</li><li>Hands-on expertise with SMP/E product installation and maintenance.</li><li>Experience managing LINKLIST, APF, and Parmlib configurations.</li><li>Knowledge of z/OS migrations and upgrades.</li><li>Experience with IBM zOSMF.</li><li>Excellent troubleshooting and change management skills.</li></ul><p><strong>Note for Candidates</strong><span>:</span></p><ul><li>Full-time remote contract (11 months).</li><li>Competitive rate: <strong>Up to $45/hour</strong> based on experience.</li><li>Multiple openings available.</li><li>Candidates must be willing to complete a <strong>Right to Represent (RTR)</strong> before submission.</li></ul><p><br></p>
