We require 8+ years of experience in mechanical quality control or quality assurance for data centers or other critical infrastructure.
We need hands-on experience with mechanical construction processes, HVAC systems, and quality control execution, along with familiarity with industry standards such as ASHRAE, ASME, SMACNA, and IMC.
We require experience managing vendors, contractors, or technical teams.
Preferred: experience in project management or management consulting, especially across multiple concurrent initiatives.
Preferred: experience providing technical field oversight and managing off-site prefabrication and assembly.
Preferred: experience with chillers, air handling units, generators, cooling towers, and emergency mechanical systems.
Preferred: direct exposure to prefabrication or modular assembly quality processes.
Preferred: strong technical writing and reporting skills, plus experience using quality management systems and documentation workflows.
Responsibilities:
- We provide technical field oversight for mechanical components and manage off-site prefabrication and assembly quality for the OSA program.
We lead root cause analysis for mechanical quality issues, coordinate corrective actions, and implement preventive improvements.
We support IPQ rollout across multiple AMER sites, partner with construction teams, and track quality milestones.
We maintain quality control records, prepare weekly status reports, and monitor quality metrics and KPIs in team-standard systems.
We carry out routine mechanical inspections, verify installation compliance, and manage non-conformance resolution.
We oversee third-party vendor performance directly, run vendor meetings, and assess quality scorecards.
We develop and align IPQ technical standards, review mechanical installation procedures, and confirm compliance with AWS specifications.
We collaborate with Construction Management, Design Engineering, Commissioning, and other stakeholders to execute technical quality work.
